KBX Token Swap from Ethereum Blockchain to Stellar blockchain

The long anticipated token swap to precede the listing and trading of KBX is finally here. Let’s just cut to the chase and show you what to do to migrate your tokens from Ethereum to Stellar blockchains.

First some instructions

• Kindly follow the steps below to ensure your KBX token is swapped from the Ethereum blockchain to the Stellar blockchain.
• All users who deposited KBX on the exchange before 3rd of February do not need to take any action as the KBX will be converted and credited to their Exchange accounts
• Please do not move ERC-20 KBX to the exchange any longer as any token moved to the exchange will be lost.
• The migration will have different levels of difficulty depending on the type of wallet you have opted for e.g Exchange wallet, KuBitX PROW, Interstellar Wallet, Lobstr etc in increasing level of difficulty.
• Please read this article and maybe this one too for a better understanding of hot and cold wallets if you are not already familiar with the terms.

Now that we understand the different wallet types, let’s proceed to swapping proper.

Option 1 — KuBitX Exchange

Steps

1. Register on https://kubitx.com, once the process of registration is completed,
2. Click on Wallet to display the list of crypto assets listed on the exchange,
3. Search for KBX and click on Deposit,
4. Generate an address. Note the address that looks like the one written below:

• DEPOSIT ADDRESS: GB2MUJ23ZRODORHFKWARF5FUH6V7MVNDATAC363RCIJZXTLWUMXK7ROC
• DESTINATION TAG: 103079343

Pay attention to the destination tag shown on your account, this IS REQUIRED to receive your tokens on the Exchange

Option 2 — KuBitX Payments & Remittances OTC Wallet (PROW). Android devices only for now.

Steps

1. Download KuBitX PROW from the Google Play Store
2. Sign up and choose your username carefully. It will form part of your easy to remember wallet address
3. Once your account is set up and KYC is completed, go to settings and click on “My KuBitX accounts”. Here you will find your wallet public key (which can serve as your wallet address for receiving Stellar tokens that are listed on the wallet e.g XLM, NGNX, UGX)
4. One more thing, click on “add or remove tokens” and add KBX to your wallet from the list of tokens
5. To receive your tokens, use your public key or your wallet address at the bottom of the home page

Option 3 — Other Stellar wallets. Please visit Stellar website and choose a wallet of your liking

We recommend Interstellar,as it is very easy to use, but any of the others like Stellar port, Ledger, Lobstr etc will get the job done. If you choose to use Interstellar, you can follow the steps below:

Steps

1. Visit https://interstellar.exchange/ to register a wallet by following the simple steps.
2. Safely store your secret key and confirm that you can log into the wallet successfully.
3. Fund the wallet with at least 2 XLM to activate the wallet.
4. To add KBX as an asset, go to the Wallet page and tap on the settings icon, scroll down a bit and then click on the “ADD COIN/TRUSTLINE button
5. Select “Manual” and then input the details below and click on submit to complete the process:

• Asset Code: KBX
• Asset Issuer: GDYXWLTGOUVQCEITFDTVH637TBKPMJUZTMGVLA37NXIJHER5RISZ5E5A

Once you have completed these steps successfully, you will be able to use your Stellar public key to claim your KBX tokens from the ICO Dashboard.

Claiming your tokens

Now that you have configured your wallet, it is time to claim/swap your KBX tokens

You will be doing this using the ICO Dashboard which you used to purchase your tokens. You will need your ERC20 address as well as your Stellar Public Key to claim the new tokens.

KBX Stellar token claims process

Steps

1. Put all your current ERC20 KBX tokens into one single wallet
2. If you would like to receive your tokens on your KuBitX Exchange wallet, copy both your KBX wallet address on the Exchange as well as the DESTINATION TAG. You will need both your wallet address AND the destination tag to complete step 6. (Please ensure you copy the Destination Tag correctly as any mistake could result in the loss of funds and KuBitX will not be liable for such)
3. If you would like to receive your tokens on your KuBitX PROW, copy your Wallet account public key from the app and use it to complete step 6.
4. If you would like to receive your tokens on any other compatible wallet, once you have set up the trust lines and added KBX as an asset, please copy your wallet address and use it to complete step 6.
5. Enter the ERC20 address in the field provided on your ICO dashboard “claim tokens page” as shown in the image above.
6. Input your Stellar Public Key as the “note” as shown in the image above.
7. Please ensure you copy the Stellar wallet address correctly and double check when pasting it a note (in step 6). KuBitX will not be held liable for any losses due to errors in wallet addresses.
8. Click on the “claim” button. Your tokens will be credited in due course before the swap window expires.

The token swap will commence on the 28th of February and will be open until 29th of March 2018. Within this time frame, we will have dedicated resources to handle the token swap as soon as the claims process is initiated on the dashboard, and we expect that all ERC-20 KBX holders should have their tokens swapped within the period. Anyone who has not been able to swap their tokens before the deadline will still be able to do it however, there will be no dedicated resources after the swap window has closed. The team will do periodic batching and conduct the swaps at longer intervals.

Seed Investors

This publication does not apply to our seed investors. We will reach out to them and guide them through a different approach.

As soon as the token swap is completed, KBX will be traded on KuBitX Exchange. It will also be available to trade on Stellar DEX where all Stellar issued tokens are detected.

Any further Exchange listings for KBX will be announced to the community as soon as it is done.
